Notable Growth Continues At Mobile Regional Airport
February Marks 10th Consecutive Month of Passenger Increases
March 31, 2017 Mobile, AL: Mobile Regional Airport today released passenger enplanement numbers for February 2017 as reported by the airlines serving Mobile. A total of 25,408 passengers boarded commercial aircraft at Mobile Regional Airport in February. In February 2016 there were 21,770 passengers who flew from Mobile Regional Airport. This resulted in a 16.4% year-over-year increase.
The Airport has seen positive growth for 10 consecutive months. This marks the longest steak of growth since the mid-1990's.
"We’re happy to see the public responding so positively to the lower fares and added capacity which our airline partners are offering at Mobile Regional Airport,” stated Brian Belcher, the airport’s Director of Marketing & Air Service Development. "The Airport Authority and staff are committed to making this Airport, the airport of choice for the residents of this region,” Belcher added.
Airlines serving Mobile Regional Airport are Amercian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines. These carriers serve 5 non-stop desinations from Mobile, which include Atlanta, Charotte, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston.
