The total number of passengers traveling though Mobile Regional Airport so far in 2016 is 393,803.

Mobile Airport Authority Executive Director,  Roger Wehner stated, "In 1997 the Airport, at its current location and under its current configuration had approximately 800,000 total passengers a year predicated on the stimulation and competition created by a low cost carrier.  History has proven our capacity and we know what the world of the possible is and today the region is even more vibrant than it was then.”  Mr. Wehner added, "Furthermore…The Airport is incentivized by every conceivable metric to grow passenger traffic and in late 2015 we crafted a plan which included assembling the right team to continue to build strong relationships with our current airline partners to grow capacity and add new desinations. We will also actively pursue new airlines and routes to provide service to this underserved region of the Gulfcoast.

"We have been seeing very positive numbers for several months, our average air fare has gone down by almost $100 per round trip.  This most recent news is clear evidence that our stratgey is having impact, the trend and results are real and growing”

Airlines serving Mobile Regional Airport are Amercian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines. These carriers serve 5 non-stop desinations from Mobile, which include Atlanta, Charotte, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston.
