AN OPENING EXISTS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION AT MOBILE REGIONAL AIRPORT:

 

POLICE DISPATCH

 FULL TIME

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:    High school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of one year experience as a police, fire, campus or emergency dispatcher preferred.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:    Monitor closed circuit television cameras. Provide assistance to the chief of police and staff. Prepare staff/shift reports and other correspondence as needed. Answer phones and radio calls and make appropriate calls in response to potential emergencies. Maintain accurate radio logs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:    Have knowledge of computers and their applications as related to security. Use good judgement in emergency or hazardous situations. Meet and communicate with the public effectively and tactfully.
