  Thomas L. Busby  Assistant Secretary/Treasurer

Tom Busby began his trading career with Merrill Lynch, and before founding DTI in 1996, he was a vice-president of Smith Barney. Tom holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He was a distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Budget Officer School, and served seven years as an officer in the United States Air Force prior to becoming a professional securities broker and trader. After the market crash of 1987, Tom became a full-time trader to avoid over-night risk associated with leveraged investments. Tom is an active trader and started this school because he felt that his knowledge and experience could benefit others interested in learning how to trade the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones futures markets. His unique principles of short-term trading combine both opportunity for reward with steadfast techniques for carefully managing risk. He has developed a trade-tested approach to help those interested in trading these markets to decide whether to be long, short, or out of the market. His teaching methods combine the required intellectual knowledge of the markets with the equally important technical execution skills needed to become a successful trader. Tom's latest book, "Winning the Day Trading Game" was published in the fall of 2005. It offers an intimate and candid account of his education in trading, including his experience during the market crash of 1987.
