Breeze Airways and Mobile International Airport Celebrate Mobile Teachers

MOBILE, Ala. (April 5, 2024) – Mobile International Airport and Breeze Airways, the nice low-cost carrier known for its friendly service and convenient routes, are excited to announce a special gift for the dedicated teachers of Mobile County. Every Teacher of the Year from the Mobile County Public School System will be honored with a free round-trip flight, celebrating the 91 outstanding educators who play a crucial role in shaping the future of our youth.

"With Mobile being home to Airbus' US base for Breeze's fleet of A220 aircraft, we already feel part of the community, but, really, we're just getting started," said Breeze Airways Founder and CEO David Neeleman.  "We're thrilled to join in today's recognition of the 91 Teachers of the Year, representing each school in the system.  We'd like to congratulate each of them and reward their dedication and enormous contributions with 10,000 BreezePoints each for travel on Breeze."

"We're proud to support these teachers and congratulate them on their profound impact on future generations. These flights, however, extend beyond a simple thank-you," said Mobile Airport Authority President Chris Curry. "They offer our educators a chance for well-deserved adventures, allowing us to give back, even in a small way, to those who contribute so significantly to our children's education and lives."

Breeze Airways will launch its service at Mobile International Airport on Wednesday, April 10. The airline is kicking off with nice, new, nonstop flights to Orlando and one stop/no plane change BreezeThru service to Providence, RI, marking a milestone in travel convenience and accessibility for the Mobile community.
