3rd Annual BFM 5K on the Runway

MOBILE, AL (October 2, 2023) –  Get ready for an action-packed Saturday! The 3rd Annual BFM 5K on the Runway is here, happening October 7, 2023, at Mobile International Airport (BFM) starting at 8 a.m.

 

This event offers an exhilarating 5K race and a 1-mile Fun Run, beginning from the 23 East Venue (1886 5th Street), winding down Broad Street to Runway 18/36, and back. But the excitement doesn't end there! After the race, enjoy music, delectable treats, and FREE entertainment for kids, including bounce houses and face painting. Our platinum sponsor this year is Airbus.

 

Not only is it a fantastic race experience, but it's also a chance to support the Mobile Airport Authority Foundation. This organization is committed to advancing charitable, educational, and scientific initiatives in our community, benefitting institutions like the Penelope House, Bishop State Community College, and various college scholarship programs.

 

Race Details:

• Date: Saturday, October 7, 2023
• Time: 8 a.m. – 5K on the Runway, 9 a.m. – 1-mile Fun Run
• Location: Mobile International Airport (BFM), 23 East Venue (1886 5th Street, Mobile, AL)

Registration Details:

• Early registration: $25 for adults, $15 for kids
• Race-day registration: $35 for adults, $25 for kids
• Registration includes a t-shirt, swag bag, post-race snacks, and awards for top finishers.

For added convenience, early packet pickup and registration will be available on Friday, October 6, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the 23 East Venue (1886 Fifth Street). Race-day registration and packet pickup will begin at 7 a.m., with the 5K race starting promptly at 8 a.m.
